Proudly serving 8 years in the Unites States Marine Corps, Carlos began his career in the construction industry in 2010. As Project Engineer, Mr. Crespo’s duties include overseeing all project document development and control, as well as subcontractor coordination, as-builts, RFIs, processing and reviewing submittals, preparing for meetings and close out procedures.
As a Project Engineer, Carlos is essentially the heartbeat of the project. His primary responsibilities are to support the daily operations of the project management team. His duties include: estimate and establish budgets and contract price (GMP/Lump Sum); Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases; Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout; shop drawing approval and material delivery; Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures; Maintain timely and accurate reporting to management; Review contract conditions; ensure compliance with all contract terms; Negotiate, prepare and issue subcontract bid packages; Assist with business development and participate in job interviews; Maintain quality control (integrity and excellence of completed project); Support estimating staff (bid item specialist); Complete all job close-out procedures; Conduct warranty follow-up.
